Deep Draw Stamping?
Cold formed sheet metal
blanks are held flat by rings to prevent wrinkles and
drawn into a die cavity by a punch. The cup is redrawn
to achieve the finished shape and size in a sequence
of separate operations simultaneously. A variety of
regular, and irregular shapes can be achieved through
deep draw stamping such as, cans, covers, cups, caps,
eyelets, housings, pans, cylinders, and hemispheres.
What is the
Benefit of Deep Draw Stamping?
Deep Draw metal forming
is very economical at high volumes, providing complete
stampings including side notches, holes and beads.
Deep Draw stamping is a cost effective process to
lower the cost per unit. At smaller volumes, the
process can be more economical than progressive die
stamping due to reduced tooling design and build cost.
